Homemade Kahlua (LCVANGS) Recipe

This is a tried and true kahlua clone recipe I have used for years

• 1 1/2 Cups brown sugar
• 1 Cup white sugar
• 2 Cups water
• 1/2 Cup instant coffee powder
• 3 Cups vodka
• 1/2 vanilla bean split in two - or 2 Tbls vanilla extract

Combine sugars and water..bring to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes..lower heat slightly and add coffee using wire whisk..(it will foam up a lot). continue unitil coffee is dissolved..cool and add vodka and vanilla bean..if extract is used, it may be drunk immediately.
